Doors of Thulusdhoo

— Thulusdhoo, Maldives Islands

I have a strong fascination with colors, especially when displayed on exterior surfaces such as walls and doors, and to me brightly hued walls carry such a strong aesthetic that attracts me like a bee to a flower. Throw some intricate patterns and prints into it, and it’s pure eye candy for me – which is why you may imagine my love for Morocco and how quickly it became my happy place while I was there. I think this island in the Maldives came close, with its vivid rooftops and brightly painted walls in its local neighbourhood. Below are some of my favourite snaps!

Are you an artistic person? Do you love coloured surfaces too? What’s something you love finding and photographing in a new place?
