Whoever knows me well enough, knows that I am obsessed with velvet. There was a time when I would think that velvet isn’t easy to style and wear on multiple occasions because of its luxe look and feel. Gradually, trends influenced by bloggers and influencers in the fashion world transformed velvet into something that can be easily dressed up and down as brands started manipulating the fabric into non-traditional pieces such as shoes, bags & more.

I’m not an avid trend-follower, so when I found a pair of denim heels, I thought, why not find a way to style a rich fabric like velvet, with something as basic and casual as denim. It’s a total contrast and gives the perfect balanced look for a girls night out or a social event.

The best thing about purchasing two items like a shirt and trousers that are identical is that you can pair it up to look like a one-piece! Surprisingly enough, I purchased both separately and had no intention of wearing them together (but i’m glad i did)!
