— L’Isle Sur La Sorgue, Vaucluse, Provence
On Sunday, my college arranged a trip for about 60 students to visit L’Isle S’La Sorgue; a town on the Sorgue river in the Provence region of Southeastern France. It is similar to Fontaine de Vaucluse (which I swear deserves a separate post) with the way that its crystal clear water sparkles under the glistening sunlight and brings the deep green foliage under it into view. The canal runs between the narrow and ancient streets with small bridges that can be crossed over it to get to the other side. We were taken there to experience the local market where you could find anything from lavender jam to stir-fried Thai noodles! It was my favourite market so far due to the wide variety of sights to marvel at and items to purchase. Happy to be making the most of my time here! Can’t believe we only have 2 more weeks… Stay tuned for more!
